Color pallet hack

I've noticed playing beta 1 that the infamous color pallet glitch present on real hardware seems to be fixed... where the towers / player select screen color pallet wraps and glitches out.

I was wondering what solution was used in umk3+ and if this could be ported as a hack for the official roms? We currently have a hack that delays the cpu when loading this area but it's not very effective.
