Try turning on Random Fight Ladder, this is replaced with an endurance match. Noobs. :P

That Kintaro shadow is evident throughout the original game. It's because that sprite segment was a touch-up or an error by the original MK art team. I've attempted to modify the draw attributes to fix the shadow drawn portion but to no help. I believe it has to do with something the bits-per-pixel the sprite was created with. That visual error looks like something I'd expect from a 8bpp sprite which causes shadow drawing errors since the game deals with 3-7 bpp most of the time (including the shadow drawing routines).

All of those screen edges are existing conditions which aren't visible on original hardware with CRT displays. I will note the pit cloud and look
into that though.
